I have a vintage woven “net fabric” (possible machine needlework)  that is faded but is an off white in color and  that has inlay flattened metallic (possibly gold) ribbon-like patterns thoughout. It looks like a “lace” table runner and possibly was made for a special ocassion like a wedding…it is approximately 8′ in length by 26″ in width. It has been in my family for many years is believed to be pre 1920. I have anecdotal evidence that it was made and/or purchased in Mexico.
