We are looking at buying custom draperies and would like to know the difference between 100% Polyester and a 55% cotton 45%Polyester blend. Both sales people are telling us their fabric is the best! What fabric would actually make the best overall draperies???

James: First of all, there is NO best, when it comes to fabrics.
All things being equal that is, if you like both fabrics the same, does the window get a lot of direct sunlight? Will the companies give you a guarantee or warranty on the fabric? I’d personally go with the cotton blend. Of course, this is a personal choice. Don’t think that the draperies will last forever. They are for NOW. Hang them and enjoy them.
