Can I dye a mercerized cotton weave to look like plain canvas?

Hi,

My problem is that I wove with mercerized cotton; and instead of weaving with white color and natural color, the weaver wove with beige and white creating a check…….which is undesired. Now I need it to look just like plain canvas.
How can I achieve it?

    am not sure you are going to be able to accomplish your objective. You
    cannot remove the color from the beige threads. You could try dyeing the
    entire thing a very light ecru, if you are willing to check out the
    reactive dyes & supplies needed at http://www.dharmatrading.com. Keep in mind cotton will shrink. best,Jennifer
