Cleaning – Poly/cotton/acrylic fabric

Hello,

Can you advise me on how to clean a pillow cover that is 80% Polyester, 16% Cotton and 4% Acrylic?

Thank you!

    Hi Mary,

If there are no manufacturer instructions on cleaning the pillow cover, I suggest you first remove the pillow cover from the pillow form. You can hand wash the cover in cool water and dry flat.

    Hope this helps!

If it doesn’t have a major stain just throw it in the washing machine. Wash on luke-warm, no bleach, and air fluff dry. It’s mostly polyester and unless it has some sort of special finish that will get snagged or what not, it will be fine. I prefer ALL for washing as it comes in a non scented form without bleach. It’s pretty gentle but still gets stuff clean. As a fabric supplier once told me, it’s polyester, the color is gonna survive WW3. Oh and if you can’t remove the cover from the pillow form throw in the tennis balls in the dryer with it.
