I have a beautifully “preserved” wool sweater that was my grandmother’s – no stains, no holes, etc. I’d like to change the color since it looks a bit blah. Right now it’s a natural wool (probably un-dyed?). Can I do this myself? Can it be done? thanks, Sue

Dear Sue,
I wouldn’t chance this, since wool will shrink and felt with the warm-water process of dyeing. Liven it up with a scarf, a flower, or a brooch.
