My 100% cotton dress shirts have been over starched by the dry cleaners, and are now so stiff that they are uncomfortable. Even after washing them several times and requesting “no starch” at the dry cleaners over the past year, the shirts are as stiff as ever. Is there any chemical or detergent that will get all the starch out of my shirts and soften them up?

Dear Steve; the starch should come out over a period of washings. It’s time to get a new dry cleaner. This one doesn’t understand English. Good Luck, Andy
