I have two layered dress the bottom layer is polyester and the top layer is a thin glittery fabric. The glittery fabric is less glittery on one side but very glittery on the other. I decided to use the less glittery side for the outside because I didnt want everyone to be blinded by the other glittery side. So now the very glittery side is on the inside but it keeps sticking to the polyester causing my dress to not sit right and I even tried ironing it but the glitter side still attaches itself to the under layer. please help!! how can I make it stand right?

Hi Mina,
I wish I could give you an ezsy fix but the only fix is to turn the glittery fabric so the right side is facing out. Evidently the glittery fabric has glitter that has edges that catch on the polyester under fabric. I would guess that this means you will have to remake the dress.
Sorry I couldn’t have come up with an easier fix! It would be nice if a spray existed that would coat the glitter! You might try using a spray starch on a small area of the glitter fabric to see if the starch coats the sharp edges of the glitter. You never know, it just might work!
Please let us know what you end up doing.
Thank you!

lol Yes if only there was a miracle spray…but thank you for your quick response! I really dont like the very glittery side…do you thknk if I change the polyester layer underneath to a different material like satin or something will it still stick? Sorry to keep bugging you about this but I really need help lol.
Changing the polyester fabric to another fabric might help. I suggest you take the dress or the glitter fabric to the fabric store and test other fabrics to see which one works better.
Hope this helps!
