Hi! Hope you can help me with this situation. I want to make quilt for a friend out of the many ribbons she has won at equestrian events. Should I wash them/rinse them first? I probably will sew them to a foundation. Any ideas who I could contact about this project? Thanks for your help. I enjoy your info. Imelda

Dear Imelda: While on the surface, it sounds like you have a good idea, those ribbons were never made for the application you intend. I’d play it safe, and take all the ribbons to your local framing store, and have them mounted in some nice frames.
Then run home, and create a quilt of “horse print” fabrics.
