I make competition suits synchronized swimmers, body builders, gymnasts, figure skaters. I only use stretch fabrics. One of my competitors buys large bundles of fabric from the garment district which consist of 1 to 5 yard pieces of fabric and all of which are different and she gets what they send, no choosing prints. How do I find out how to buy like this? It is inexpensive and will give me variety of colors and textures. Marijane
Dear Marijane: Visit www.wwd.com and try to get a “hard copy” of” Women’s Wear Daily”, the newspaper. Place an ad in their classified area under “Fabrics Wanted”. You’ll get the fabrics you need, at prices that will enable you to compete. Good Luck, Andy
