hi Andy why is a silk tie more expensive than a polyester tie? Thank You

Dear Jessie: Silk is a natural product, coming out of a silk worm. Polyester is a synthetic product, made from oil. Someone has to feed and care for those little worms. That’s why, when they finally make a tie from the silk, it cost more.
