Dear Jenny: Yes, a testing lab can tell if a fabric is flame retardant. The important question is going to be, “what is the application of the Flame Retardant fabric”. There are dozens of FR tests for fabric, and each has its own standards. The test for sleepwear is different than it is for, racing suits. The test for Display fabric is different than the test for baby clothes. Be careful and don’t get burned. Good Luck, Andy
