Dear Andy, I came across your website when inquiring about legality issues.
Would you by chance know if it is legal or illegal to purchase brand name jeans, alter them with paintings and more things and than resell them under my own brand or as an unknown brand
I assume that if I buy them they become mine and I custom modify the jeans however I am not sure if I need any sort of permission to resell them or how could I do it….

Paulo: It is not illegal, as long as you leave the original labels on the jeans, and not try to resell as your own brand. You can sell your artwork on another brand jeans, as long as you identify it that way.
Contact a local attorney, for a final approval on this, before proceeding.
