I have two Bassett Hounds that I love more than anything. I am shopping for new living room furniture. What fabric do you recommend for dogs? I can’t keep them off the furniture, we love to cuddle. Bassets also drool a lot. How about microfabric?

Dear Sheri: At first I’d say to ask your dogs. Ever think about covering your furniture in some nice Oilcloth? It wears like iron and can be wiped off with a sponge. Good Luck, Andy

Hi Sheri,
I have dogs too and decided to get leather. My white leather sofa and chair are now about 8 years old and I just wipe the spills (and drool) off with a damp wash cloth.
