I have been hired to do costuming for a Beatles tribute band. I need to find a heavy satin that will withstand lots of wear. The manager wants heavy satin (bridal, Duchess, etc.), which in itself is not the problem. My problem has been finding it in the color needed, coral, but a more orangish coral than most of what I’ve seen, which has been too pinkish. Any suggestions besides dying white?
Thanks,
Pam
Pam, have you looked at our Poly Satin at http://www.fabrics.net/Satin-Poly-s/67.htm
Polyester would be your sturdiest fabric for costumes but the properties that give polyester strength also prevent you from dyeing a white to a coral. Sorry.
If our poly satin isn’t the right color, try submitting a FabricFinder request at http://info.fabrics.net/post-a-fabricfinder-request/ The stores and sources in the US and Canada will contact you directly if they have a poly satin in coral.
