According the TheFabricDictionary.com “….a fabric made with a weave that produces a pebbled effect, similar to crepe”.

I personally have never seen this fabric or heard of it before your contact.

    Good Luck,
    Andy

Unfortunately, manufacturing specs varies on fiber content used and end use requirements.  Momie cloth can be made form 50/50 cotton/poly or 100% cotton.  I am still searching information but from what I can sus out it can also be a variety of other fiber contents just with a particular end surfacing, ie. the pebbled texture.  Most often used in the hotel or service industries as table clothes and linens.  Also found was a term called Momme or Monme…unit of measuring silk content in fabric. http://www.sizes.com/units/momme.htm.  If I knew what it was for I might be able to investigate more information for you.  Also another way to look up the info you need is if you already have the cloth and the identification tag on the end board there should be a manufacturers label.  You can always contact the manufacturer directly to inquire of that manufacturers specs for your fabric.  No gaurantees of them getting back to you though.  Hope this helps.
