I want to make something out of an oilcloth (and possibly a lot of them if it turns out well). I am wondering how to have existing fabrics turned into an oilcloth. Is there a company that does this? Do you have an idea on price? Thanks, Robin
Dear Kevin and Robin: There are several fabrics today, being called Oilcloth. One is a printed vinyl that is very popular. Some folks consider woven cotton, with a plastic finish, an “oilcloth”. If this is what you are looking for, then you need to find a “laminator”. They will coat your fabrics. A good commercial laminator is Fabrite in NJ. You can reach them at (973) 777-1406. Search the web for others. Good Luck, Andy
