My machine problem, please help?

When I start sewing my material keeps goning down where the bobbin is.  I have checked the tension and have oiled my machine, I have also cleaned it to.  Please help my with my problem.

    What type of fabric are you sewing on? Do you have a new needle or an older one? What is your stitch length? How about your presser foot tension?

    I usually go through and examine everything when I get a fabric that just won’t sew correctly. Needle size, that’s one I didn’t think of!

    I agree, Michele, sounds like she may need a new needle or a smaller needle size. Could also be that she is using a ball point needle on a woven fabric.
