I am new at sewing. and I am going to have to cut out my pattern on fleece. it is a no sew pattern . what I need to know is what is a salvage I have to lay the pattern out on the material a certain way with the salvage on the right .I don’t have to fold the fabric. Dear Kathy: The “selvage” is the width of the goods. The “width” should be left to right and the “length” should be up and down. Happy Sewing and Good Luck, Andy
