Hello! I am working on a project using nylon/lycra to make something for activewear. I know nylon is moisture wicking, but does it do well with perspiration? I want it to have a bathing suit/smooth/dri-sweat feel. Would this be the right combination?

Hi Erica,
I’m not quite understanding the question. I’ve been pondering this for a couple of days because if a nylon/lycra blend is miosture wicking then of course it does well with persperation because that is the only moisture it would come in contact with when worn unless worn in the rain. Personally I don’t like nylon, period. There are better combinations such as poly/lycra/bamboo or poly/lycra/cotton or lycra/viscoes. I find these materials to be not only softer but are better at cooling when wicking away moisture from the body but then they may not have the consistancy you desire. I would suggest you order several differing kinds of material and make up samples and then test them. It’s called R&D, research and developement. Testing samples to see which creates the desired final requirement for the product. Hope that helps.
