Hello Mr. Andy,
My mother recently got a new couch, a very nice couch which she felt incredibly proud of. I used this couch very often, especially in doing my homework. Well, now there are several pen marks along the arm rest, and upon discovering that, my mom became very distraught. Our couch is insured, however, the company refuses to fix it, despite the fact that our original contract says that if any stain is on it, they’ll clean it for us.
I’m looking to fix it myself, but I have no idea what to do or what to use. Tell me, how do you remove ink from a couch made of microfiber?
Thank You for your help.

Dear Crazy: Find a better place to do your homework. Visit www.carbona.com to find stain removal products. I’m no lawyer, but it sounds like the furniture company is not living up to their contract. Contact the Better Business Bureau in your area. Write a nice, but firm letter to the company that sold the couch to your Mom. At the bottom of the letter, indicate that a copy of the letter is going to the Better Business Bureau and your state’s attorney general’s office. I’m sure you’ll hear back real soon. Good Luck, Andy
