My daughter recently purchased a black evening gown which is made of a knit with glitter on it.(very small glitter). The problem is when she wore it the glitter rubs off on EVERYTHING and EVERYONE…she was so disappointed .. The glitter seems to cling to your hands when they are damp or ‘clammy’ . We did hand wash it hoping some of the ‘excess’ would come off, but it didn’t seem to help any.
Do you have any suggestions of how to prevent the glitter from rubbing off?

Dear Karen: The glitter should not be coming off the gown. Bring it back to the store and see if they will replace it with another. Nothing you can do will prevent the glitter from shedding. Glitter will get into everything, and it is almost impossible to remove. Good Luck, Andy
