Project Fabric

To whom it may concern,

I am looking to find some research on a fabric for my college project. The project is a straightner saftey heat mat, the mat is made to turn the straighteners off after a period of time. The mat will have a layer of aliminum foil underneath with several electronic components underneath, so this means that the material would have to withstand an amount of heat without burning but, letting enough heat through to let the components function correctly. As estimate recordings the width of the mat is going to be about 300mm and the legth is going to be about 200mm. I would be very appriciative to receive a reply.

Yours sincerely

    Hi Declan,
This link may help you. http://www.everythingquilts.com/browseproducts/Therma-Flec-Heat-Resistant-Fabric.html. Therma Flec is a brand material that is heat resistant and sew-able. There are other thing from Warm Brands. If you Google heat resistant fabric, you will find a lot of materials that will possibly do what you are wanting. If you Google heat resistant material, (watch your wording, try a couple of different related words), you will get companies that you could contact to have something made specific to your requirements. Good luck!
