Silk dupioni or taffetta look alike?

I am looking for a cheaper option to silk dupioni or tafetta, the fabric must strong as it needs to be stretched over an umbrella frame. Any idea’s? Thanks

    Hi Lynn,
    Joanns carries a fo-dupioni called duponi. It has the look on one side and a satin on the other and is made of polyester. Just about all taffeta Joann’s carries is made of polyester and is considered fo by fabric snobs. The best quality of this is in the upholstery section. Hope that helps.
