Hello I am designing my own summer trousers with vests and I want to use silk. However, I am not sure which silk to use and also what lining to use. I am looking for a high quality silk. Thanks

The type of silk to use depends on what you want your trousers and vest to looik like. If you want a drapey type trouser, try silk knit jersey or 4 ply silk. If you want a crisp trouser and vest where the trouser has a knife crease, Doupionni would be your choice. My suggestion would be to order our silk swatch set at http://www.fabrics.net/Silk-Swatch-Card-p/001swatch.htm This set will give you feeler swatches of the 10+ silk weights and weaves that come in the 60+ colors that we carry. The cost of the set is refunded on your first order of 2 or more yards.
