Dear Andy : I recently bought some new hankies made from cotton. No matter how many times they have been washed they come out stiff. Is there any way to treat new cotton hankies to make them soft before they wear out. Thanks, Richard

Richard: Sounds like you may have bought some hankies that are made of a coarse gauge cotton. There is nothing you can do. Shop more wisely, and get yourself some new soft hankies.
