Wedding Veil

I am wanting to make my daughter’s silk tulle veil 54 inches wide and 108 inches long. I have watched countless videos on how to wrap the comb with a silk ribbon and attatch the tulle to the comb. I wanted to know how to do a rolled edge hem. Do I need a thin ribbon? The veil we tried on was over 500 dollars and was just like the one I want to make. I realize the fabric will be 168.00 dollars but it does not look too difficult to make. Thank you so much. Jane Hamilton

    Hi Jane,
A rolled hem isn’t necessary, you can just leave the cut edge or sew a narrow ribbon on the cut edge. A rolled hem is just turning the tulle under about 1/4 inch then under again then stitched.

    Hope this helps!
