What fabric is suitable for running shorts?

I need to know if there is an American distributor for fabric that is suitable for running shorts. This fabric needs to be light weight and moisture wicking.

    Cotton knit is light weight and wicks moisture away from the body. There are other fabrics called Performance Fabrics but cotton is often the best choice.
